House Full Of Martins

I have been working with my sister on the preparation of our family home for sale.

I tried to photograph a pair of adult house martins attending their nest under the eaves but they were too quick for me.

When I arrived very early this morning I could hear a commotion. The house martin brood had fledged. The young were wheeling in the blue and then returning to the nest, as were the adults.

My pic shows an adult with its blue sheened plumage below and a yellow- gaped fledgling above.

Five hundred consecutive Blips for me. :)

Going to catch up with comments now. BT have sort of mended my broadband. :)
