Another gift from one of our recently left pupils.......accompanied by another Einstein quote..." The important thing is never to stop questioning".

I came out with another "saying" today.....and it caused consternation. Hebs came down to my lab to see me about a solution for a data handling problem we had.......after a discussion she headed for the door..........and for some reason I said..........out loud......in front of 28 pupils........" See ya later love!"

Love?????...........I never call any one Love...........it's a Lancashire expression.....and I'm from the proper North.......County Durham..............I sometimes call hebs "Babe"..........because she is...........sometimes I call her "Darlin'"..........we call each other "work husband and work wife"........I call the Boss "Sexy".....or "Gorgeous"........I've even been known to call Jo "Honey"............sometimes I slip back into my roots and refer to a female friend as "Pet"..............but "Love".................never...ever.....no way.

It was so unusual hebs stopped in her tracks...........and just stared at me speechless.and then left the room shaking her head and muttering "Where did that come from?"

I have no idea....and I may not be able to sleep tonight for worrying about it!
