With Sunny Greetings from Kijkduin-Beach

Dear Friends,
I know you have been asking yourself why it is that we have met so seldom last years. Let us please not blame any one of us for this lack of contact. As retired persons and as grand parents your agenda’s are fully filled and since Willemien and I came to live here near the North Sea, our location certainly is ‘excentric’ literally speaking. That makes me the one to bridge the distance between us. But as you know me from early times on, I’m not that great socializer. So what happens when I’m passing these short sojourns at sea? I don’t want to miss one day at the beach, swimming or not swimming (unthinkable..). I hope you understand..

Even Willemien gets bored by my daily Mono-Salt&Sand Habit, but I really can’t help it.

“Non-sense”, I hear your reaction, “be a man, control your impulses and don’t degrade yourself into some kind of Sandtrotter. Put on a Decent Summer Suit with Brogues instead of those Rags you wear, and pay us a Nice Visit. If you don’t want to bike all the way to here, take Public Transport. So simple these days! You were the one that never had a car, weren’t you? We can have a drink in the Shadowy Garden and finally exchange the latest news. By the way, if you feel ready to come, let us know in advance. Cause, let us see, just a moment, yes, the coming weeks...no, but the second, no the third week in August, then we are back from our Sailing Holliday with A&B. So there again we have plenty of time...Oh, that’s a pitty, sorry to hear, what? You are staying in Germany?....

Indeed my Friends, we are living in our Beloved Carlsheaven and Being Here at The Seaside is only a Short&Happy Interlude. Perhaps you can understand that we are growing more and more ‘excentric’ than ever before: living at the Weser Riverside and Playing at the Beach.
So, Dear Friends, instead of making long term appointments or arranging visits and meetings, I send you this Holliday Postcard from Kijkduin-Beach, telling that we are spending marvellous days at sea here, until we leave again next week...Willemien is fine, she revalidates her Pointing Finger and I am feeling better than ever.
