Holding On

Here in Oregon we have a magical place called Hayward Field.

The last time these shoes hit the track at Hayward field was 22 years ago.

Apparently we have a magical place in our garage where they have been stored for all that time.

Matt really enjoyed his master's track event.

I enjoy the comment his Uncle Jim posted on Facebook:

Ah, the Masters Division! Where " I can!" begins to become "Maybe I shouldn't!"

It's going to take several weeks before his hamstring heals:(

Oh, and, I shot this one using manual settings. I'm in "learning about exposure" mode. This was a good, slow-moving subject to practice on.
