Threave Castle
Built for Archibald the Grimm better known as the 3rd Earl of Black Douglas in 1400 and it was erected on an island in the middle of the river Dee. It was then besieged by James II in 1455 and only surrendered after the garrison was bribed by the King. After that the castle did not play a prominent role in Scottish history.
Tried to take this snap from the perspective of one of the Kings soldiers during the siege who would presumably spy on the castle through the trees and bushes. Or I reverted to my twelve year old state again and was imagining myself being there.
Nothing wrong with that I say :-).
