Return to the North

Storm brewing

Yep another storm flurry on the way (in more ways than one).
I missed a call at 6.30 this morning from my bus depot man to say that he was concerned with the amount of snow on the roads. he rang back at 7am and we decided to postpone all the buses for an hour. then at 8am he rang to tell me two bus routes are dangerous and the others were OK. So a few kids missing from school today :-) Much to their delight I am sure.
Tomorrow may be much of the same me thinks looking out the window as I type!

I had to head into Riverton this morning for a lunchtime meeting with another principal. (we share a school counsellor and had to discuss a replacement) She suggested that rather than meet at school where she would be interrupted we should meet at the beach House cafe.
I can highly recommend it if you are ever in Riverton.

Whales had been spotted last week in Colac bay and surrounding areas so I drove round to see if I could spot any (alas none) and then stopped off here at Gemstone Beach as I saw the storm clouds brewing.
I have done nothing to this shot other than have it on my landscape setting in camera and 'sunshine' setting.
I loved the startling contrast between the greens and blues but what I really wanted to capture (and only partly succeeded) is the rain in the background.

2 more days to go !!!!!!
