Bored on the Water of Leith

When school's out for summer, what else is there to do but head down to the nearest stretch of water with your mates and chill out. Two days in to the summer holidays and the kids are bored already.

I thought these were Heron jeuveniles as they are very large. But not being a bird spotter or ornithologist I wasn't sure. However, I have been informed they are goosanders. Thanks to the Water of Leith Conservation Trust for informing me.
