Life with Alice

An Enormous Amount of Willpower

I am in disbelief. Here I am, showing my best side posing with a muffin without lunging at it because I'm told so and mum needs a blip. And then when were done, I don't get to taste even the the tiniest crumble of it, even though I am the reason we got it. Poisonous, she said. Unfair, that's what it is in my opinion.

It was my buddy William, who is twelve and the best when it comes to running with me, who had baked the muffin himself from scratch. For my mum to say thanks for letting him spend time with me. Can you believe that? It's us who should bake stuff for them, really.
