Busker

Today is my birthday and I wanted to go to Cambridge to get two watches repaired; they are identical and both have failed within twelve days of each other. As they are likely to be as long as eight weeks before they are repaired and as I do not like to be without a watch I decided to buy another one. As I was about to pay for the watch the owner of the company erecting the steel work telephoned; while my back was turned Mrs GOG paid for the watch for my birthday.

We had a sandwich lunch in the Green Coffee Company Café before visiting Scotsdales and the Mower People on the way home. I was able to purchase a new pin to replace the temporary repair that Victoria did yesterday. Before coming home we were joined by our daughter for coffee and cake.

Today’s picture shows one of the many buskers in Cambridge.
