Ascott House

I worked on Parish stuff this morning and then met up with Shirley for a lunchtime cuppa and then picked up Pat for an a wandering around the Gardens of this lovely house.

It was a really relaxing afternoon, the gardens are lovely and the view over towards Dunstable Downs is amazing, I don't think I would ever tire of looking at it. The House is still lived in and only open at certain times during the year, well worth a visit. It is a half-timbered Jacobean farmhouse, transformed by the de Rothschilds towards the end of the 19th century and is in the care of the National Trust.

Didn't feel very good first thing but improved as the day went on, probably because I didn't sleep to well.
