Colors over the mountains

I was driving to the lake to catch the sunrise, and this view was in front of me. With Mt. Washington in the background, I stopped and took a quick pic and continued on.
At this point the sky was intensely pink. By the time I got to the lake, which was just a few minutes later, that color had faded. I did get some beautiful shots of the sunrise over the lake, but the colors were more subtle.
