A "Good for the environment garden."
Spent ages in the garden today, mainly repotting, weeding and tidying up. Or so I thought......Just as I was putting the tools away, a bright orange football came flying over the (recently shorn) hedge, a few seconds later a small boy zoomed into the garden, stopped quickly and wailed to his friend on the other side, "I'll never find it in here, it's a really messy garden."
I was deeply hurt, I don't mind telling you. So when his friend appeared to help, I emerged from the (very tiny, plastic) greenhouse and said, "Messy?!" (In a slightly louder voice than necessary.)
Wee boy's friend had a quick look around and, clearly a quick thinker, said, "It's not messy, it's a good for the environment garden."
Thank you. Well, what more can you expect if you have a potato patch and fruit bushes where there should be a neatly trimmed lawn?
Looking forward to a good crop of brambles in the autumn.
