Living the life

I met this man a few times and noticed he had one trouser leg tucked into his sock, as I do when I cycle.
I didn't get much of a conversation going with him but his friend who I spent the afternoon drinking Guinness with told me he does that because he used to cycle home after the pub to the peat bogs. He hasn't owned a bike for ten years
