Black & White Beauty

Monthly theme of Black & White.

For me B&W photographs can do a few things. They can make a photograph something special (old people with crinkly skin). They can help hide some bad exposure and they can add a bit of character or mystique.

My favourite thing about them though, is they can transform certain objects into to different things altogether, yet if we work out the colour we can usually still tell what they are. So it kind of puts a mask on them, but the mask can be a pretty rubbish one (like these videos of a person in a dark room and they disguise their voice, but you know that if you knew the person they would be rumbled straight away) or indeed so good that we totally have no idea. So it is a bit of a puzzle and you wonder if people can work out your puzzle. Rubbish or Unbreakable.
