Hurriedly we made up the beds and cleaned the lodge in anticipation of #1 Daughter and family later today.

The Mother felt well enough for a trip out to see them this afternoon but, of course, we understood when she felt weary of all the activity and wanted to go back home. I gave her some supper then The Man and I went back out to the lodge to have a lovely meal with Rachel and Son-in-Law.

We treated ourselves to a taxi home so that I could relax with some wine. A much needed evening out, then back to spend the night at The Mother's.
