The Mail

I always look forward to checking my mail. It started in childhood when all my sisters and brothers wanted to be the one to go to the mailbox. As we got older we rushed home from school to see test results followed college admissions but after graduation came the bills and the charm wore off. I used to consider it a good day when magazines and fun stuff outnumbered the bills. Since most of my bills are electronic there are lots of good mail days.

In my new building the concierge places a key in your mailbox when you have a package. Those are the best days because it generally means some new photographic toy has made its way to me :).

Today was a holiday and no mail but Fedex was delivering and I got a key...

...only this time it was a new document scanner so I could go even further to being paperless and scan/shred some old documents...after hooking it up and grabbing the document pile I just realized this could take a while.
