A Siskin Feeling Shy
A strange start to the day, I called into say hello to our elderly neighbour H and found him lying on the floor. John was out working and our lovely neighbour N was there to help before the ambulance arrived. H is a well known and liked person who has helped many people and sadly has had a rough time in recent years. He hates fuss and bother and doesn't want to be a nuisance. But once in Craignure hospital he enjoyed the fuss and having tea and toast made for him, talking as they carried out all the necessary tests. We have a wonderful little hospital on the island and when I phoned this evening he was comfortable.
The Siskin was a fairly obliging candidate this evening, the blurred edge is not me going all arty, but the leaves of a plant with fleshy grey leaves, he wouldn't come out into the open. This is on manual and will attempt a shot tomorrow having just changed the ISO. Another beautiful day, and I dare say H is sat in his hospital bed champing at the bit to come home and get out back to work. He's 85.
