Queuing for opening time

Crocosmia. Very much a look at me plant. The garden has been a great delight this year. Everything seems to have been bigger and better than for some years. Perhaps it was the mild winter which gave them a good start. Or perhaps it is getting older which increases ones joy at the beautiful things. Might even be a new camera which makes one look with a keener eye.

Whatever it is there is something new to record every day for three or four months.

The main part of the garden has a deer proof fence which we put up several years ago when we decided to grow orchids. Roe deer find flowers delicious. They are allowed to wander into one small section of the garden however which means that they can often be photographed from the bedroom window.
