Jumper

A full sports weekend, knockout round of World Cup on the television (three of my four teams made it through and Mexico should have except for a couple of late defensive lapses) and an under-28 State Volleyball Tournament in town to provide live sports viewing. I am breaking my normal rule of always including a ball because this shot captures the amazing jumping ability of these players (the next in the series, with the ball, is much less impressive). Arturo is one of our local players and one of the highest jumpers on the beach or hard court, but he was just one of many such athletes on the various teams. Fun to watch, even more fun to photograph.
