Disaster?
The electrical installation of the house is variable, to say the least. I firmly believe that the majority was fitted by gentlemen wearing Stetsons and spurs. Today, got a shock when we had a firework display down at the bottom of the garden. The wire supplying the pool pump room had at last given up and fried itself. when we looked closer, the wire was a simple indoor standard 3-core wire that tracked back to a hole in the wall and branched off a light fitting. It had splits and was frayed in several places. $175 and a few hours later, the wiring had been replaced by a more substantial supply line that might last a few more years. At least the pool can now be filtered!
