Family
These two men are family. They are my brothers Dave and Steve. We three are the only kids of some amazing people who are no longer here but who make themselves known through the three of us. There is something about us that is common. And when you get the three of us together, whatever it is is multiplied by three. It can be a bit much. But we like who we are and how we are together. A bit loud at times. Strong minded. A bit competitive. Mostly though, we really enjoy each other's company and have very strong bonds of love. We are so very lucky!
Today Dave came up from Anacortes and Steve walked over from a couple of blocks away. Nora arrived by plane from a trip. We spent the day together. Arvin and Helena were there too. We played some games. We took a walk to Big Rock Garden. We had dinner together. It was a lovely day.
During our walk in the park, Dave (left) and Steve (right) took a pose holding up the big rock in this sculpture called "Unity." Actually I cadged them into posing so I could take their picture. I had a hunch it would be today's blip. Here they are large sized.
Note on Monday: Funny how I didn't think of the implications of the setting. The sculpture is called "Unity" and I missed it. Several commenters got it. Well yes indeed. And my brothers' strength and the strength of our ties showing in the pose. Well again, yes indeed. Love this place and you folks. Thanks for the insightful comments on this photo.
