Saying goodbye is hard to do...

... so my solution is to not say goodbye. Instead I cooked a meal and enjoyed spending time with Dad and Carina before they fly back to Sweden. They have lived 'down the road' for nearly 2 years which had been the first time since I was 16. It will feel strange to drive past the cottage knowing they are not there anymore. However I hope that their return to Sweden brings all that they need. So instead of 'goodbye' it is 'I will see you soon'.
