Obliterated

Today we went out for a celebratory lunch for S for her birthday back in May. She'd wanted to go to the "Mal on Sunday" lunch/ brunch at Malmaison.

So, we headed off down and parked nearby. Lovely lunch, but slightly mired by someone hitting our car and knackering this wing mirror. To add insult to this they left a "note" on the windscreen. The note being just a folded piece of paper. I can only assume someone witnessed this collision and for theatrical sense put the note on the windscreen and sodded off.

So, no witnesses, no contact details and a broken wing mirror. After trying to piece what parts I have back onto the car I have found I'm missing one huge piece of plastic from the underside, so rather than just a simple stick it back together and get a new mirror, it looks like it's a whole new unit (as VW/ parts dealers) don't break down the internal parts for these types of things. PLUS it's heated/ electric so that adds more complication to it.

Argh.
