Teesquay Millenium Bridge

Continuing once again my Sunday theme of Bridges over the Tees, todays bridge is the Teesquay Millenium Bridge.

As its name suggests, it was completed in 2000 and links the campus of the University of Durham with the (rather soulless) Stockton Castlegate shopping centre.

The ship moored across the river beyond the bridge is a full-size replica of local-born Captain James Cook's ship HM Bark Endeavour and provides entertainment and educational functions.
