Mercury Falling?

We keep our clothes pegs inside a biscuit tin, last night it was left outside on top of the table on the patio. I went outside this morning, to find the tin was covered in water droplets due to the overnight rain. It looked beautiful in the sunlight, it looked like it had mercury all over it. As I've looked at the pictures on my PC, I realise that it also reminds me of the movie "Terminator 2".
