Traffic Jam
In the centre of the local market the truck pictured was being loaded. The load was spread over such a wide area that the traffic was constricted to a single lane. As ever here, this meant very long queues and angry drivers. Two hours later, my journey finished (it normally takes 20 minutes).
For a country that has many challenges, there is no real shortage of food in the region south of the Niger River. As you can see, the variety of food being loaded, including vegetables (potatoes and onions), rice, pasta and bottled water are very readily available.
