Day 71: Saturdaaay!

Yay for Saturdays and family time!! We spent the morning going garage sale hopping. One of the houses we stopped at had a box of free things in it. We're "those" people who don't bring cash with us to garage sales because, duh, otherwise we'd buy something. So naturally I was drawn to this "free" box. Let me back track a little bit...I have been wanting to fly a kite with Preslee ever since I saw a checklist on Pinterest of "things you must do during summer." Flying a kite was in that list so obviously we HAVE to do it this summer, right? Well I've been really stubborn at not wanting to spend money on a kite and thank goodness I was because there in that "free" box was a kite making kit. Three hours later (it was harder than you might think) we had a homemade kite. The thing "flew" for all but three seconds before completely coming apart. You can see from the pic that Preslee was really upset. J/K we asked her to make that face. Oh well, it provided us with free entertainment so I guess it did its part. To end the day off we hung out at an arcade and then spent some time with our deaf neighbors. Preslee likes them because they have five kids who love sharing their toys with her. I also enjoy watching Stephen sign with them. I'm learning that language slowly but surely and helps getting to see it in the real world. They are some of the nicest people, too! Yay Saturday!
