Ever decreasing circles

Took Miss S to her friends house this morning as they were going out to Adventure Island for the day. We went to Southend to go shopping and to pick her up later. Didn't buy too much; popped into the gallery to admire some great pictures and ate cake and drank tea. Then when finally went to pick Miss S up, the adult in charge of looking after her had absolutely no idea where any of the children were! Finally found her with a friend and her mum. Only the way home she told us how the 6 girls had split up soon after lunch and just kept bumping into each other. She wasn't on her own; she was with one of the girls until 3 (she then went home) then she stayed with another girl and her mum. This was supposed to be a birthday party. I know they are 10 years old but I was still shocked that they were allowed to wander around a theme park unsupervised for most of it. I'm not sure if I'm over protective but if they were in my care I would have to keep them in my sight or at least know where they are!

Back home for dinner, followed by Mr S going to bed before the girls. Not impressed :(
