Metamorphosis

I went to our pond earlier as the yellow waterlilies were out yesterday for the first time this year. As I focused, I saw that the lily appeared to have a friend, a very spooky-looking skeleton, performing magic tricks upon its petals!


I believe this is a blue-tailed damselfly. There was evidence on a lower petal of a larvae casing from which it had emerged and I kept returning to see h
