Charlie
What a cutie he is!
I woke up at 9am feeling amazingly well rested after a busy week. I did a few chores, received my Sainsbury's online shop etc, boring, boring, boring- yet necessary!
I planned to go to Guildford, alone, as I wanted to go to Hollister mainly. All week I had looked at stuff online, and then decided it would be easier to just go there and try them on. Plus I needed to get a few things for the dance performance which is this week-eek!
Ro called to say she was looking after Charlie, her friend's little boy, who's 3, almost 4, and hijacked my shopping trip! I thought it might be fun to have Charlie with us, but I didn't know whether he'd be bored.
The weather was rubbish, after a lovely start. So we traipsed around Guildford in the downpour. Off I went to Hollister. It was really busy, and I found it hard to find what I wanted, but eventually I did and joined an extremely long queue for the changing rooms. When I was almost at the front they announced they had a flood, and everyone needed to leave.
Great. What a giant waste of time! I met Ro and Charlie in Starbucks, and had a granola bar and a hot chocolate. Charlie was super-well behaved, eating his sammie and smiling away! We went to Gap, Topshop, Superdry, until me and my bad mood found replacement articles! Since coming home I've changed my mind so it looks like I'll be making a return trip there next week....
Missed my overdue nail appointment, so my nails are like claws! But despite the weather and the epic fail of the shopping trip, it was a good day. Charlie was adorable, and really good while we were out. He really was no trouble at all. Well, apart from one minor tizz in Sainsbury's when he refused to let go of the family-sized bag of Chocolate Buttons, even though we bought him a little bag! He sang some nursery rhymes with me in the car, and entertained us with the Frozen soundtrack, sung by him while watching the youtube video on my phone :-)
We had a bit of a play when we got home with Boden, who was thrilled to see us. Charlie insisted we play hide and seek, many times.....
