Summer of Sport

What a wonderful summer! World Cup football, Wimbeldon and today the Celtic Society Cup Final with Inveraray v Kyles Athletic. A real sporting gsme , fast and furious , end to end with our local team Inveraray, having the better of the first half, 2-1 up before Kyles evened things up just before half time.

In the end Kyles won the cup with a 5 - 2 victory , all played in a very sporting manner . This cup has been played for since 1879 ( the only break in play being during both World wars ) with Inveraray winning it 21 times and Kyles winning 31 times.
