A Murray Moment!

Spent the day at Fulneck, a Moravian settlement & school, with my dad (& Rebekah). Beautiful buildings with uninterrupted countryside views. This is where Sheffield hero James Montgomery went to school, as did Asquith. But more importantly to me, this is where my parents came to school and where they met. I saw the pew (4th row 2 in) where mum was first spotted and the hall where they first met and danced on St. Andrew's Day. The rest, as they say, is history! Ate delicious food in the girls school dining room where mum would have eaten - I understand the food was rather more spartan in the 1940s! Saw old photos of dad. The board listing dad as Head boy in 1949 & 1950. The board of The Tempest Sports Cup winners - dad won it in 1948, 1949 & 1950 - today the cup and dad were briefly united. A Murray moment!
