Exploring Plockton and a castle

We decided to have a more "local" day today and limit the time spent in the car.

So we started by exploring the little village near to where we were staying, Plockton. CJ loved being out and running around - especially when he discovered he could wander down the harbour (the tide was out) and play with all the stones!

After lunch at an amazing local pub, we headed back towards the main road as we where heading to some of the viewing points in the the hills that looked down on the loch and Eilean Donan castle.

Then it was back down to Eilean Donan castle for a look around - a castle with a great history and an amazing restoration story!

It was then back home for a BBQ teat - however the weather wasn't on board with the BBQ idea, so we ended up cooking inside - the first time in ages that we have had to abort a BBQ!
