Hay's Dock

I always enjoy spending time around Hay's Dock - not only is there a fab Museum (with a very good restaurant!), there is also the chance to picture what the harbour in Lerwick might once have looked like.

Part of me would love to jump back in time to see the harbour filled with fishing boats, and with rows of herring barrels on the dockside. As it is I spent time looking at 'Pilot Us' - a glimpse back to 1931.
