Kutna Hora with Honza and his family
Today I had a lovely day out with Honza, Zanetta and their lovely daughter, Sofinka. The town of Kutna Hora is a UNESCO World Heritage site packed with amazing buildings. This photo shows the Cathedral of St Barbara. Construction on the cathedral began in 1388 and it was finished in 1905! It took a while. St Barbara is the patron saint of miners. The town was famous for silver mines, and very wealthy too, judging by the houses. We also visited the nearby site of Sedlec with its rather macabre display of human bones...
