The Coronation channel

This channel was built to relieve the flood risk to the town after the floods of 1947. It is a popular place for dog walks and we took rent-a-dog there to avoid a repeat of yesterday. Then, he went bounding into cabbage fields following a scent and got lost. In the morning, I met up with old friends who moved to Wales a few years ago but were back for a visit. I brought some work back with me in the afternoon so I could work from home but still watch the tennis.
