Second Brood

After an absence of a week or so the blackbirds are back in the garden.

Judging by the way they are filling their crops they are onto their second brood and have chicks on a nest somewhere over by the allotments.

Last year I had some youngsters in the garden. I've not seen any this year as of yet, but the juvenile count is still quite good otherwise. I've had House Sparrow, Goldfinch, Jackdaw and Great Tit youngsters all in the garden in recent days.
