That was spicy!
Nothing exciting to Blip today so it's another "masterpiece" from my kitchen! ("Shut up at the back!"). So I had intended to make an onion gravy to go on some sausages (I had bought some of those "skinless pork" sausages, I know I should have bought "proper" sausages but I like those "fake" type sausages every now and then), anyway I chopped an onion and then I got carried away and chopped a couple chillies and then a tomato, and then another tomato and then another and finally another! I lightly fried all this up with some tomato purée, a crushed clove of garlic in some chilli oil and seasoned with garlic pepper (I do like my chilli and garlic!) I then made a quick gravy with a beef stock cube and gravy granules and poured it into my fried concoction. I then threw in the fried sausages and a few boiled new potatoes.
I'm not sure what you'd call it, the end result wasn't a gravy or a goulash or a chilli... err more of a spicy tomato "gunk". It was very spicy hot (with two chillies plus the chilli oil) but not over the top. I've plenty of the "gunk" left over in the fridge (although I ate all the potatoes and sausages) so I might add some Italian herbs and mince and make a spicy bolognese.
