Plug

In a cloud of midges, I laid the last course of blocks of the dam. While the cement set I trundled to Peebles to get a 90 degree, long radius, 4 inch bend which I needed to 'plug' the outflow. Now all I have to do is wait to see if the dam holds. There are bound to be leaks - what's important is that more water is flowing in than is leaking out.

The family headed off to Gigha (with Ferdi) early doors, so I spent the rest of the day working. I knocked off early, though, and treated myself to a double bill of Breakfast at Tiffanys and CSNY's Déjà-Vu. A good combo.
