White rose

Another garden rose blip today.

Despite not being a fan of them in general, it must be said that this year the roses are looking very lovely. All winter the plants have looked bare and ugly, and then as they come to life they are prone to black fly and greenfly infestations. I have dutifully sprayed washing up liquid and generally tried to keep them in good shape. Next year I may well get rid of them in favour of some less prickly variety of plant- although looking at them today I am wavering...we will see...

Madam enjoyed her swimming lesson immensely, she is starting to kick a lot more rather than just serenely floating! She slept for 2 hours afterwards.
