82 days to go

There was a YES Argyll " summit" in Inveraray tonight - a bringing together of the YES groups from around the constituency with only YES Bute unable to attend because of travel difficulties.

I originally was not going to be there or in Argyll this evening because of a national engagement but that was postponed last week. I am glad it was because I have still got virtually no voice and a very sore throat.

Eventually, however, I decided I really should attend the Inveraray meeting despite how I felt and Anthony Harrison very kindly gave me a lift.

I am glad I did. The energy, excitement and enthusiasm were palpable. Planning for the remaining 11 weeks is well advanced, materials are being distributed and there is a belief that any remaining gap is rapidly narrowing - a belief that stems from a record amount of canvassing being done in this area and across Scotland.

Meanwhile in Benderloch there was a YES public meeting being held and I have two in my diary for next week. All I have to do now is get my voice back.....
