Plume moth (Amblyptilia punctidactyla)

Insect shot number 3, in my quest to take an insect shot right through to Sunday for National Insect Week! I'm not doing too bad considering it wasn't a great day for insects or insect hunting. Wet for most of the day.

I had a quick wander round the garden early this evening to see if what I could find and this was the result. It's amazing what's out there if you just take the time to look.

I took this shot with my macro lens, hand held, so not as wonderfully sharp or composed as I'd would have liked.
