Premature Sunset

I'm not quite sure what I was expecting the sky to do this evening. The sky had lots of wispy clouds which I thought might turn red as the sun set, but they seemed to dissipate. Then as I was looking for a reasonable location to capture the sun across Bordeaux Harbour, it sneaked behind a prevailing cloud bank. It disappeared quite quickly, so I had little chance of clambering over the rocks to find a better vantage point.

Either way, I was glad to see that the sun hadn't vanished totally, as some forecasts earlier in the week suggested it might ... :o)
