Brilliant Disguise

Evening all.

Unbeknowst to us, the cats have had a sparrow vending machine installed in the house.

Cunningly they have disguised it as our fireplace,

a disguise we only revealed when there was a noise like a can rolling down a hill, a small cloud of soot and a slightly perplexed looking sparrow sitting on a pile of wood on the grate.

Three times we have had visitors from distant lands arrive down the rabbithole from Narnia, and each time the cats have not been in residence to provide a welcoming committee, which leaves me to reach a rather worrying conclusion...

This is no more than a distraction machine, and the real sparrow dispenser is located elsewhere in the house.....
