Wi a Hundred Pipers an a' an a'
Well actually, it must have been nearer a thousand pipers in several pipe (and one accordion) bands.
This evening MaggieD and I went off to Stirling to watch the big pipe band parade march down from the castle, through the town then out to the Kings Knot, led by the Atholl Highlanders.
We were quite pleasantly surprised to find the route already very busy and by the time the bands came along, the crowds were solid and at least four deep.
Another busy day tomorrow; off back to Stirling for Armed Forces Day. We will be looking out for the aircraft fly pasts. Apparently there have been several rehearsal runs during the day. Fingers crossed they all arrive at the appropriate times!
