Rooftop in Zamalek

I read about this rooftop place last night on the internet and so thought we'd have a look this afternoon when we were in Zamalek. It's on the 5th floor and to get to it you enter a very decrepit hotel and take the lift to the 4th floor. We didn't have any expectations and so were very pleasantly surprised when we stepped out into a big terrace with a lovely Nile view. If HB looks in it kind of reminded us of the boat club we used to go to in Belem. It was incredibly hot today. Goodness knows what the temperature was, but the water out of the cold tap was warm when I had a shower this morning! We think the start of Ramadam will be announced tomorrow night, so we'll be here to experience it for a couple of days.
