Blue Grosbeak

After a long plane ride, the first thing I wanted to do was walk around Pleasure House Point, where I saw the usual herons, ospreys, terns, etc... and a surprise greeting by a pair of Blue Grosbeaks, which I had not seen here before. The female is gray-brown; the male is vibrantly blue. Their song is a sweet, jumbled warble.

They winter in the tropics. Maybe I will follow them. :)
