It's an 'age' thing!
Went to chemist for odds and ends before going to North Devon for a few days. Top of the list - new mascara and indigestion tablets.
Spent most of the day taking my neighbour to the hospital as she wanted to chat to the doctor and nurse. They want to put her husband in a nursing home and have only discussed it fully with her son. She felt left out of the equation.
Then took her back to visit her husband in the afternoon, and then we went to the nursing home which has a vacancy. It put her mind at rest as she saw the room he will have - with a lovely french window looking out onto trees. The staff were very kind and she now feels a lot happier. She has to get taxis everywhere as she is not fit enough to use buses at the moment. They have been married 58 years and she has been caring for him 24/7 for the last 6 years.
Her son has a sports car which she can't get in and out of and he had visited the home and told her it was OK but she needed to see for herself.
