Migrant in Moscow

Qui Nhon

Qui Nhon. I'd had never heard of the place until a week ago. It's a little gem of a city (pop. 290,000) in the south central part of Vietnam. The region's greatest claim to fame is probably the origins of the Tay Son dynasty in the 18th century, which, in its day, was a kind of Robin Hood movement helping the poor and downtrodden. More on the Tay Son and what the three brothers looked like.

The beach was empty all day, then filled with hundreds after work, stayed busy until dark at about 6.30, and then, as quickly, emptied again. The light and colors in the early evening were simply stunning.

So was the seafood at dinner last night.
