Gloria's journal

Time Traveller locations Scene 5

This is the Lychgate of our village church.. In the Middle ages people were buried in shrouds not coffins. The body was carried into the cover of the Lychgate where the priest read the first prayers of the funeral.

Inside this Lychgate are memorial plaques with the names of those lost and who returned home after both World Wars.

Our scene brings the audience a young local man coming to say goodbye to his village friends. He finds it hard to express his feelings so reads them a poem he has written explaining how he feels about war.

Have a good weekend blippers.
